From Homeowners (Consumers): When you submit a contact request through our platform, we collect your name, phone number, and a brief description of your project. We do not require you to create an account.

From Contractors: When you apply to join PocketGC, we collect your business name, owner name, phone number, email address, trade type, service area, business bio, license number (if applicable), insurance status, and links to external review profiles. If you subscribe, we also process billing information through our payment processor (Stripe).

2. How We Use Your Information

Consumer contact information is used strictly to transmit your project request to the specific contractor you selected. Contractor information is used to display your business listing in our public directory and to manage your subscription.

3. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party aggregators, marketers, or data brokers. Your information is shared only with the specific contractor you choose to contact, and with our service providers as needed to operate the platform (e.g., hosting, payment processing).

4. Cookies & Analytics

PocketGC uses minimal cookies and tracking:

• Admin session cookie: A strictly necessary, httpOnly cookie used solely for admin dashboard authentication.
• Analytics: We may use privacy-friendly, first-party analytics (such as Vercel Analytics) to understand general traffic patterns. These tools do not track you across other websites and do not collect personally identifiable information.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure database hosting, and access controls to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
